Raveena Tandon was felicitated with the Dadasaheb Phalke Academy Critics Award for her moving performance in Maatr last night. The actress opted for a stunning white saree and paired it with bottle green earrings for the do.

Besides Raveena, Anil Kapoor, Juhi Chawla, Anupam Kher and Priyanka Chopra were also felicitated with the Dadasaheb Phalke Academy Awards.

On being asked about Priyanka making a mark in the West, Raveena said, “Priyanka has proved herself as an international icon. She has worked really hard and it’s great that her efforts are been recognised. She is now a global icon.”
PeeCee, who is currently promoting her Hollywood debut Baywatch overseas could not attend the ceremony. However, her mother, Madhu Chopra collected the award on her behalf. Interestingly, Madhu Chopra too was given Phalke Best Marathi film award for Ventilator.
When the host of the award ceremony, Aman Verma, asked Madhu Chopra about that one lesson she would like to share with parents who want to see their children successful, she said, "To all the parents out there, let your children do what they want to do in life. Set them free to fly high and fulfill their dreams."
